Gabriel Torrado Tobón is a Colombian composer currently living in Los Angeles, California. He studied film scoring and conducting at Berklee College of Music and later continued his compositional studies under composer Jack Van Zandt, a former President of the LA Chapter of the American Composers Forum. Most recently, he scored and mixed the film “Yoruga”, which was an official selection at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival. His latest concert piece, Luminescence, a piano trio, was performed and recorded by members of the Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra and the Colombian National Symphony Orchestra. As Torrado pursues new musical challenges, he is currently also composing and producing concept albums, his first one being “Winds Of Remembrance”, for solo piano.
