Modern classical ~ Ambient ~ Experimental
Giovanni Aloi is interested in the creative analogies that link different expressive media like painting, photography, music, and writing. As a result, his creative practice is a combination of different formats and projects, each in different ways related and interconnected. Aloi’s work focuses on the representation of nature through the arts. How can creative expressions fill the gap that has for millennia separated us from the rest of the natural world? He has published numerous books on the subject with art publishers like Phaidon and Prestel and has curated art exhibitions exploring the representation of animals and plants as well as the impact of climate change. His compositions, equally informed by classical and electronic music, explore non-verbal communication as an opportunity to write and narrate forms of personal mythologies that make life more liveable. "Moths" is his new album (https://www.aloi-moths.com).
