Composer, pianist, and conductor, he completed his musical studies at the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory in Naples, where he graduated in Composition, Piano, Clarinet, Choral Music, and Choir Conducting (Old System). He later continued his studies at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, earning a Second Level Academic Diploma in Composition (New System) with top marks. Among the various advanced composition courses he attended, particularly noteworthy are the one held by G. Ligeti in 1996 at the International Academy of Music in Novara, and the one at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena led by Luis Bacalov. He also took part in masterclasses with Gavin Bryars and Nicola Piovani. Alongside a broad body of classical compositions (chamber music, piano works, orchestral and vocal music, etc.), he has developed a personal compositional style that lies at the intersection of “art music” and minimalism. This approach stems from his desire to communicate with a wider audience and bring a more contemporary perspective to his musical language.
